Hi! My name is Angela.

I've been fortunate enough to have been working with cannabis since I was in high school. After coming back from a party, finally understanding why our garden smelled the way it did, the secret was out. I began to learn all I could. I went to school for Sustainable Food and Farming (and equine management) at UMass Amherst, all the while keeping an eye on the developing markets.

During covid, I officially entered the realm of legal cannabis as a grower in a Massachusetts greenhouse. Shortly after dipping my toes in there, I moved to Vermont to work in the medical cannabis scene. As Vermont's recreational market loomed closer, I was poached from cultivation to step into the role of Sourcing Specialist. I am now the buyer, historian, and word smith among a million other titles.

I started Smoke What to inform, delight, and build a community of in the know stoners. I offer my insider perspective as a menu curator as well as share stories from both iconic and surprising cannabis cultural touchstones.
Through personal experience, scientific research, legacy market hearsay, and historical roots, Smoke What offers a foundation for understanding the Who, the What, and the Why of your local dispensary menus.
